Satu Raunola-Spencer has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Satu is currently the Co-Founder of VENLA resell+relove, a rent-a-rack second-hand fashion store in Sydney. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Business Development APAC at AirHelp, the largest global flight compensation claim handling company. Satu also served as the Director and Board Member of Vloggi, the world's first collaborative video platform. Additionally, they worked as a Director at KipinΓ€ Pty Ltd, a strategic consulting services firm, and operated their own consulting company called Satu Raunola Consulting. Satu took an upskilling sabbatical as an Experienced Marketing and Communications Strategist at the University of Sydney. Earlier in their career, Satu worked as the Manager of Marketing & Communications at Amadeus IT Pacific and founded Finnesse Communications Pty Ltd, a specialist travel industry marketing and PR firm. Satu started their professional journey as a Marketing Representative at VisitFinland and then became the General Manager at Response PR Pty Ltd, a travel and tourism marketing and PR agency.
Satu Raunola-Spencer obtained a diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, & Travel Management from Lahti Hospitality Management - (Current) University to Applied Science from 1980 to 1982. Satu then pursued a Hotels Sales Management course at Cornell University from 1990 to 1991. In 2008 to 2009, they completed a CSR course series (5) and obtained a Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from the Australian Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility. In 2013 to 2016, Satu Raunola-Spencer pursued a degree in Marketing and obtained an AMAMI CPM degree from the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI). In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a certification in Online Business: Digital Marketing for Success from RMIT University's FutureLearn platform in December 2016.
