April Dowdey

April Dowdey has extensive experience in nursing and healthcare coordination, currently serving as a Utilization Nurse Coordinator at AirMed International since March 2021. Prior to this role, April worked at Brookwood Baptist Health from February 2017 to July 2022, where responsibilities included positions as a Staff Registered Nurse in Women’s Services, Clinical Nurse Educator, and Clinical Coordinator for the High Risk Obstetric Unit. April's nursing career began at Brookwood Medical Center, where engagement spanned from May 2005 to February 2017 as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery. April's earlier experience includes serving as a Research Assistant with the US Army Medical Research Unit-Europe from July 2000 to July 2001. April Dowdey holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from Samford University, one in Nursing Science and another in Human Development and Family Studies.
