Simon Briceno

Simon Briceno's work experience includes:

- SVP Strategy and Business Development at AIRO (The AIRO Group) starting in March 2023.

- Chief Commercial Officer at Jaunt Air Mobility LLC starting in February 2020. Simon was responsible for developing Jaunt's commercial strategy and identifying new business opportunities. Simon also managed operational initiatives with global aerospace and infrastructure partners and led a team in the development of the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem.

- Strategic Advisor at Joulea starting in May 2018. Simon focused on reducing building operating costs and exceeding energy efficiency standards. Joulea employed aerospace product lifecycle management to improve environmental sustainability and target energy benchmarks.

- Founder and owner of Silasoma Holdings LLC starting in December 2018.

- At Georgia Institute of Technology, they held various roles including Transformative Aviation Concepts Division Chief, Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory from 2018 to 2020, Senior Research Faculty from 2017 to 2020, Advanced Concepts Division Chief, Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory from 2008 to 2017, and Senior Graduate Researcher from 2001 to 2008.

Simon Briceno's education history includes a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering and an MSAE (Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering) from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Syracuse University. In addition to their formal education, Simon Briceno holds certifications as a Commercial Pilot, Single-Engine Instrument Airplane, and also has a Remote Pilot Certificate with sUAS Rating. The Commercial Pilot certification was obtained in April 2002 from the Federal Aviation Administration.
