Gregory Cota has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Gregory started their career in 1998 as a Nominations Clerk & Grants Specialist for the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary, where they researched and composed statements, press releases, and constituent responses on various legal issues. In 2001, they joined the Office of U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy as a Senior Transportation Policy Adviser, where they played a key role in advancing the Senator's agenda by preparing legislation and developing strategies. In 2008, they became the Vice Chair of the Alexandria Traffic and Parking Board, where they analyzed and amended plans to control traffic congestion. In 2010, they were appointed Volunteer Chair of the Transportation & Land Use Committee for the Parkfairfax Condominium Association. Currently, Gregory serves as the Senior Vice President of Government and Political Affairs for the Airports Council International - North America, where they focus on laws and regulations affecting the aviation industry.

Gregory Cota completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from William & Mary in the years 1994 to 1998. Gregory then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Transportation Policy, Operations & Logistics from George Mason University during the period of 2005 to 2007.

Airports Council International - North America

Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) represents local, regional, and state governing bodies that own and operate commercial airports in the United States and Canada. ACI-NA member airports enplane more than 95 percent of the domestic and virtually all the international airline passenger and cargo traffic in North America. Approximately 380 aviation-related businesses are also members of ACI-NA, providing goods and services to airports.
