Bob Wheeler

CEO at Airstream

Bob Wheeler is the current CEO at Airstream. Prior to this, they were the President & CEO of Airstream Inc. and TH2 from February 2018 to January 2021. Before that, they were with Airstream, Inc. from May 2002 to December 2005 as the VP of Product Development and Engineering where they oversaw programs to expand product offerings to new customer groups. Some of the Airstream products developed during their tenure are the design-forward International travel trailer line, and the Interstate Type B motorhome.

Wheeler began their career in 1989 as a Manufacturing Engineer with General Motors. In 1994, they transitioned to Fleetwood Enterprises as a Production Manager. Bob was promoted to Director of Product Development in 1997 and led the product development and launch of American Coach Class A motorhomes, including the American Coach Heritage motorhome.

In 2002, Wheeler left Fleetwood Enterprises to join Airstream, Inc. as VP of Product Development and Engineering. Bob shaped business strategy and oversaw programs to expand product offerings to new customer groups. Among the Airstream products developed during their tenure are the design-forward International travel trailer line, and the Interstate Type B motorhome.

In 2018, Wheeler was named President & CEO of Airstream Inc. and TH2. Bob held this position until January 2021 when they were appointed CEO of Airstream.

Bob Wheeler has a BSME from the University of Rochester and an MBA from the University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York.
