Michael Hughes has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Michael started their professional career as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Technician in the United States Air Force from 1995 to 1999, where they performed servicing, repairs, and major overhauls of various equipment. Michael then worked as a Mercedes-Benz/Jaguar Automotive Technician at Continental Motorcars, Inc. from 1999 to 2002, responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles.

In 2002, Michael joined the United States Air Force again, this time as a Pararescue Trainee, undergoing intense training to prepare for rescue missions. Michael later became an Assistant NCOIC and performed repairs, alignments, and troubleshooting on air navigation and weather reporting systems. Michael also led training classes for new airmen and conducted quality assurance inspections.

From 2005 to 2006, Michael served as a Maintenance Operations Center Technician in the United States Air Force, coordinating and recording maintenance actions on airfield assets. Michael then became a Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) for Meteorological & Navigation Systems, responsible for repairs, overhauls, and maintenance checks of critical systems.

Michael transitioned to the US Army in 2008 as a Flight School Student, completing combat rotary wing flight training and earning an FAA Commercial Pilot Instrument Rating. Michael went on to become an AH-64D Apache Longbow Pilot, flying under tactical and non-tactical conditions and engaging hostile forces. Michael also commanded a rear detachment and served as a Master Resiliency Instructor, improving leadership effectiveness and worker productivity.

From 2017 to 2020, Michael worked as a Training Specialist/Instructor at Airstreams Renewables, Inc., instructing students in renewable energy maintenance with an emphasis on safety. Michael conducted formal classroom instruction for certifications and was certified in various areas.

In 2020, Michael advanced to the role of Training Supervisor at Airstreams Renewables, Inc., responsible for maintaining accreditation standards and overseeing campus personnel. Finally, in 2022, they took on the role of Instructor Development Program Manager, managing the program and its participants.
