Shane Powell

Shane Powell's work experience begins in 1995 when they worked as a Software Engineer at ARCS Lab, where they were involved in design and development projects. From 1997 to 2001, they worked as a Software Engineer at MacDonald Dettwiler & Assoc, collaborating with clients and working on system deployments. The next role for Powell was as a Software Engineer/Consultant at ThinkSpark from 2001 to 2004, where they were responsible for requirements gathering, design, development, and training. Shane then worked at BIF Technologies from 2005 to 2007 as a Software Engineer/Consultant, managing network infrastructure and working on various software projects. From 2007 to 2012, they were a Sr. Software Engineer at Tetco, where they handled responsibilities from requirements gathering to maintenance. At AirStrip from 2012 to 2019, Powell served as the UI Developer Manager and Sr. Android Developer, involved in all major engineering efforts. Shane then worked as a Sr. Android Engineer at SoulCycle Inc. from 2019 to 2020 and at Equinox Media from 2020 to 2021. The most recent role for Powell is at Phood Solutions, where they worked as the Principal Android Engineer from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Applications Engineering at AirStrip since March 2022.

Shane Powell earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Shane attended the institution from 1992 to 1995.
