Marie Grace Utetiwabo is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in telecommunications and regulatory affairs across Africa, the Middle East, and APAC regions. Currently serving as Group Senior Legal Counsel for Airtel Africa since September 2022, Marie manages legal matters related to telecommunications and mobile money services. Prior roles include Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at ezra, Senior Legal Consultant at DT One, and Senior Legal Counsel at the same company, where responsibilities encompassed corporate restructuring, compliance, risk management, and legal advisory. Previous experiences also include legal counsel at Sema Mobile Services Limited and Mobile Decisioning Africa Limited, as well as legal program associate at the Kenya Human Rights Commission and legal assistant at the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals. Marie holds a Master's degree in International Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from notable institutions.
