Joy Omoruku

Joy Omoruku is an accomplished information security professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across prominent organizations. Currently serving as the CISO - Lead, Information Security & Business Continuity at Airtel Nigeria since December 2022, Joy is instrumental in shaping comprehensive security strategies and managing risk through evaluation of the IT threat landscape and compliance initiatives. Prior experiences include roles at Microsoft as a Senior Security Solutions Specialist, and significant leadership positions including Deputy CISO at Fidelity Bank Plc and Head of Information and Cybersecurity Operations at Heritage Bank Plc. Joy's background also encompasses a long tenure at Sterling Bank Plc, where responsibilities ranged from Head of Information Security Monitoring to IT Auditor. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Joy brings a wealth of expertise in cybersecurity and information management to the field.
