Carolyn Lyimo has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Carolyn started their career at TTCL-TANZANIA TELECOMMUNICATION COMPANY LIMITED as a Wholesale Business- New Services and Reseller Coordinator. During their time there, they were responsible for managing wholesale capacity partner accounts and overseeing new business development and partnerships.
Carolyn then joined Vodacom, where they held two roles. First, as a Key Account Manager - Multinationals & Corporates, they managed the sales strategy for mobile voice services and enterprise fixed services. Then, as a Manager - Wholesale and Carrier Services, they innovated and implemented wholesale and international retail voice marketing strategies.
Following their time at Vodacom, Carolyn joined Infobip as a Country Manager, where they implemented business strategies and managed a portfolio budget. Carolyn also developed marketing strategies to optimize brand awareness and return on investment in Tanzania.
Carolyn'smost recent role is Head of Corporate Sales at Airtel Tanzania, where they are expected to start in 2023.
Carolyn Lyimo completed their education with a Bachelor of Business Science degree from Monash University, specializing in Economics and Marketing, which was obtained in 2013. Carolyn recently completed a Certificate of Specialization in Strategy from Harvard Business School, which they obtained in 2021. In addition to their formal education, they also hold additional certifications such as a Certificate in Directorship (CiDir) from The Institute of Directors in Tanzania (IoDT), obtained in November 2020, as well as certifications in Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner and IBM New Collar Professional Skills, both obtained in June 2020 from IBM.
