Raaj Rayat

Raaj Rayat is an Investment Manager at AirTree. Raaj was previously an Investment Associate at Lendable, a FinTech startup using data science to expand fair access to financial services in emerging markets. At Lendable, they helped scale the company from $0 to $200m+ invested across 10+ countries in 4 years. Raaj also drove various aspects of the business through Lendable's growth, including data science, investments, risk management, and strategic projects. In addition, they executed numerous DD's on growth stage FinTechs across 15+ jurisdictions in Africa and Southeast Asia as part of private debt and securitisation transactions.

Prior to their work at Lendable, Raaj served as a Peer Facilitator at the COP21/9th UNESCO Youth Forum. Raaj has also interned at United Family Healthcare, where they worked on CSR projects.

Raaj Rayat studied a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics at La Trobe University. Raaj then undertook an Australia-China Student Exchange Program at Peking University. After completing their Juris Doctor at the University of Technology Sydney, they became a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder (CFA) through the CFA Institute. Finally, they attained their Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI.
