David Ellis

David Ellis is an experienced in-house product and regulatory counsel currently serving as Senior Lead Counsel for Product Legal at Airwallex since 2024. Previously, David held roles such as Assistant General Counsel at Robinhood and Senior Product Counsel at Edelman Financial Engines, where they guided legal support for various product launches and corporate initiatives. David's early career includes significant positions with the U.S. Department of Labor, where they argued in U.S. Circuit Courts and led investigations resulting in landmark agreements. David earned a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and holds a BA with High Honors from Swarthmore College.
