Raquel Arroyo

Raquel Arroyo, PhD PharmD has a diverse work experience. From 2013 to 2020, they held a variety of positions in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. Raquel began their career as a Pharmacist Intern at Farmacia Esther Bellido, then held Clinical Pharmacist Intern positions at Hospital Universitario Fundación Jiménez Díaz and Eurofins Megalab España S.A. In 2014, they started their PhD Student position at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where they initiated and consolidated productive collaborations with other international research labs, drafted manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, and presented in international conferences. In 2016, they were a Visiting PhD Scientist at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, and in 2017 they were a Visiting PhD Scientist at The Hospital for Sick Children. In 2019, they became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, where they managed research projects, managed the lab, and trained and mentored junior members. In 2020, they became a Senior Scientist & Project Manager and Consultant at Airway Therapeutics, where they contributed to study design and provided scientific input in the development of clinical studies, managed study aspects, and supported pre-clinical, clinical, QA-Regulatory and CMC divisions on-demand.

Raquel Arroyo, PhD PharmD began their educational journey in 2002 when they attended Colegio San José Villafranca de los Barros for their Bachillerato (Middle and High school). In 2008, they graduated from Universidad Complutense de Madrid with a Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy. In 2013, they participated in an ERASMUS program at UCL in Microbiology, General. From 2014 to 2018, they attended Universidad Complutense de Madrid and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Biomedicine. In 2017, they attended The University of Bonn for a Summer school Intellectual Property.
