Chief Air Traffic Controller at Airways New Zealand

Scott Cowley has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Scott started their career in 2007 as a Simulator Pilot at Airways New Zealand and later worked as a Flying Instructor at Canterbury Aero Club from 2008 to 2011. In 2012, they joined Geneva Healthcare as a Respite Carer for a brief period before transitioning to CTC Aviation Group Limited as a Flying Instructor, where they worked until 2016. Since 2016, Scott has returned to Airways New Zealand and currently holds the position of Chief Air Traffic Controller, overseeing the air traffic control operations.

Scott Cowley completed their education at multiple institutions. From 2010 to 2012, they attended the Airways Corporation of New Zealand, where they obtained a Diploma in Air Traffic Control. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2007, they studied at the International Aviation Academy New Zealand, earning a CPL (Commercial Pilot License), MEIR (Multi-Engine Instrument Rating), and C-Cat Instructors Rating in the field of aviation.
