Tuna Cheung

Tuna Cheung is an experienced Air Traffic Controller at Airways New Zealand, where responsibilities include aerodrome and approach control, along with occasional training duties since December 2020. Prior to this role, Tuna temporarily transitioned to the position of Support Advisor at Shopify during the COVID-19 pandemic, assisting businesses in enhancing their digital presence. Earlier experience includes serving as an Air Traffic Control Trainee at Airways New Zealand, and various roles in academia and retail, including Program Coordinator and Copywriter at the University of Melbourne, Technical Expert at Apple, and Retail Assistant at UNIQLO. Tuna possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies with a focus on Japanese from the University of Melbourne and an Undergraduate Certificate in Sustainability Studies from the University of Tasmania. Additionally, Tuna has engaged in a student exchange program at The University of Tokyo and has experience in design and animation.
