Vaughan Hider

Vaughan Hider is a seasoned engineering professional specializing in communications and surveillance systems, currently serving as a Senior Communications and Surveillance Engineer at Airways New Zealand since February 2015. In this role, Vaughan leads the PSR/SSR replacement radar project and provides engineering support for radar systems across New Zealand, focusing on lifecycle management and the integration of new surveillance technologies. Prior experience includes positions at Dynamic Controls as a Systems Development Engineer, where Vaughan developed system architecture and conducted product testing, and as a Senior Embedded Design Engineer at InFact Ltd, overseeing hardware and software design for acoustic testing technology. Additionally, Vaughan worked as a Hardware Engineer at Tait Electronics, customising products to meet specific customer requirements. Vaughan holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Electrical and Electronics from the University of Canterbury.
