Ian Billing

Ian Billing is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in aviation and electronics engineering. Currently serving as the Manager of Flight Operations and Captain/Project Coordinator at Airwork Holdings Ltd since November 2019, Ian has previously held significant roles including QA Manager at Teknique and Director & Project Manager at dTect Solutions. Ian’s career began in 1990 with Telkom Communications and later spanned various leadership positions in both project management and software development, including the development of the AvPlan flight operations software. With a National Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering and certifications in Project Management and Software Performance Engineering, Ian Billing possesses a strong foundation in engineering principles and project execution. Key achievements include the successful implementation of the AvPlan system across airlines in southern Africa and the development of various microelectronic solutions.
