Piaotian Jin

Piaotian Jin has a diverse work experience in GIS and software engineering. In 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer at AirWorks. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at the Boston Planning & Development Agency as a GIS Developer and 3D Data Analyst. In 2018, they worked at Tighe & Bond as a GIS Developer and GIS Intern. Piaotian also worked as a GIS Intern at Silent Spring Institute in 2018. In 2017, they worked as a GIS Developer at Dida Information Company. In their various roles, they designed and developed interactive GIS web applications, maintained and updated GIS 3D Smart Model, developed GIS scripting tools, performed geospatial analysis, managed GIS data, handled mapping requests, identified vulnerability of private wells to contamination, and developed GIS software in support of unmanned aerial vehicle data processing.

Piaotian Jin attended Wuhan University of Technology from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Science and Cartography. From 2015 to 2017, they also attended Wuhan University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance, General. In 2017, they began attending Clark University, where they earned a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science and Cartography in 2019. In June of 2019, they also obtained an IBM Data Science Professional Certificate from IBM.
