Gil Summy

Gil Summy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different organizations. Gil began their career as a Meteorologist at the Bureau of Meteorology from 1988 to 1990. Following that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford from 1995 to 1999, during which they also served as a Visiting Lecturer from 1999 to 2001. In 2002, they joined Oklahoma State University as an Associate Professor and held this position until 2018. At AIRY3D, they started as an Optics Team Lead in October 2018 and was later promoted to Director of the Optics Group in September 2020. Gil currently holds the position of VP Optics at AIRY3D, starting from May 2021.

Gil Summy completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics from The University of Queensland, between 1984 and 1987. Later, from 1990 to 1990, they pursued a BS Honors in Physics from Griffith University. Finally, from 1992 to 1995, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from Griffith University as well.
