Nurani Dissanayake

Nurani Dissanayake has extensive experience in legal and corporate roles, currently serving as Deputy General Manager at Aitken Spence since March 2015, following various positions within the company, including Assistant General Manager and Manager in the Group Company Secretarial Division. Previously, Nurani worked as a Junior Associate at John Wilson Partners from January 2013 to February 2015, where responsibilities included legal research and company secretarial work. Early career experiences also include an internship at Aitken Spence and a legal internship with the National Protection and Durable Solutions for Internally Displaced Persons Project with the Human Rights Commission. Academically, Nurani holds a Masters of Law (LL.M) with a focus on Company Law, Intellectual Property Law, and International Trade Law, as well as an LL.B (Hons.) from the University of Colombo, and a qualification as an Attorney-at-Law. Further education includes a short course on Investment Law at the Institute for the Development of Commercial Law & Practice.
