Alessandro Da Rugna

Alessandro Da Rugna has over 13 years of professional experience in software engineering and quality assurance. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Tirocinante at Emaze. From 2010 to 2011, they were a Software Developer at SISSA, where they worked on an XML input file format for Quantum ESPRESSO. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Allianz Italia, where they designed and implemented automated tests for various Insurance and Finance web applications. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Software Quality Assurance Engineer / Senior Developer at Gruppo Euris Spa, where they designed and developed Functional Tests with Selenium. From 2018 to 2022, they worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Software Development Engineer and a Software Development Engineer In Test. During their time at AWS, they improved the technological stack of other software quality tools and implemented canary tests used during new region build processes. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer in Test at Aiven.

Alessandro Da Rugna obtained a High School Diploma from ITIS Negrelli, Feltre in 2004, majoring in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology. Alessandro then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science from Università degli Studi di Trieste in 2010, majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. In 2015, they obtained an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer from Oracle. In 2016, they obtained a Software Tester - Foundation Level from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
