Sergey Aksenov began their career in 2012 as a Technical Support Champion for Tinkoff Credit Systems, where they consulted customers and employees in all bank products and worked in banking and office programs. In 2014, they moved to Equity Trust Inc as a Systems Engineer/Administrator, where they monitored the LAN/WAN network environment, troubleshot and diagnosed various hardware/software network failures, managed installation and configuration of system network components, supported the existing IT infrastructure, and provided technical support to employees and customers. In 2015, they joined Connect NZ as a Junior Network Engineer, where they gained experience in a big IT company as a member of an IT team and gained an understanding of the New Zealand working environment. Sergey then moved to Spark Ventures in 2017 as a Technical Support Officer, where they provided support to customers and handled customer enquiries, complaints, and service requests via digital channels. At the same time, they also joined Reliance acsn as a SOC Engineer. In 2019, they moved to Spark New Zealand as a Senior Security Analyst and Incident Responder and a Cyber Security Analyst. Most recently, they joined Aiven in 2022 as a SecOps Engineer.
Sergey Aksenov completed a Diploma Lvl 6 in Information Technology from Queens Academic Group between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MSUCE) between 2010 and 2014. In addition, they have obtained two certifications: GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) from GIAC Certifications in September 2020 and CCNA Security from Cisco in December 2018.
