Luke Therrien

Luke Therrien has a diverse background in software engineering, with experience in various roles and companies. Luke currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at Aiwyn, starting in 2022. Previously, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Disney Streaming from 2021 to 2022, where they developed Node.js microservices and deployed them to EKS using Helm charts. Luke also terraformed AWS infrastructure using Terraform/Vault.

Before that, Luke worked as a Software Engineer at Asymmetrik from 2019 to 2021. During this time, they developed REST services using the MEAN stack and containerized applications using Docker and ECS. Luke also migrated infrastructure to AWS by writing Terraform infrastructure as code.

Luke's earlier experience includes working at Visionist, Inc. as a Software Engineer from 2014 to 2019. Here, they developed Apache Spark and Apache Hadoop analytics and REST services using Spring that communicated with Accumulo, Mongo, and Elasticsearch. Luke also developed REST services using Node and Express that communicated with Mongo.

Luke started their career at Varen Technologies as a Software Engineer in 2010. In this role, they developed REST services using Spring that communicated with Mongo and MySQL. Luke also developed data pipeline applications using Spring and Apache NiFi. Additionally, Luke served as a tech lead, leading scrums and sprint planning.

Overall, Luke Therrien has a strong background in software engineering, with expertise in developing microservices, containerization, cloud infrastructure, and database communication.

Luke Therrien received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Grove City College, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including the AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2020. Luke has also obtained various Workato certifications, including the Applying RecipeOps Badge, Introduction to Connector SDK, and Recipe Lifecycle Management Badge, all in March 2023.
