Hiroya Kawasaki

Hiroya Kawasaki is an accomplished expert in sensory science and food research, currently serving as an Executive Specialist and Principal Researcher at Ajinomoto Co., Inc. since April 2004, where efforts focus on developing innovative sensory science methods and researching professional chefs' cooking techniques. In addition, Hiroya Kawasaki holds the position of Associate General Manager at 特定非営利活動法人日本料理アカデミー since April 2020 and previously served as 理事 at Kyoto Prefectural University from October 2015 to March 2017, where responsibilities included lecturing on the science and design of deliciousness in Japanese cuisine, Washoku. Previous academic roles include Assistant Professor at Jinai University, with a focus on food science. Hiroya Kawasaki earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Agriculture from Kyoto University in 2004, following a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Sciences from the same institution in 1999.
