Martin Tvede Zachariasen

Martin Tvede Zachariasen is the Rector of The University of the Faroe Islands, a position held since January 2002, overseeing a range of educational programs. Previously served as Pro-Rector for Education, focusing on quality assurance and enhancement of academic offerings. Additionally, Martin holds several board memberships, including roles at the LIFE Foundation, Finanstilsynet, and Brøndby Gymnasium. Martin has extensive academic experience, having served as Vice Chancellor at the IT University of Copenhagen and Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Southern Denmark. Martin's academic background includes degrees in Computer Science from the University of Copenhagen and a Master’s degree in Public Governance from Copenhagen Business School.
