Flip van de Klift has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Flip started their career as a Productieplanner at Fokker Services B.V., where they were responsible for planning the parts for the Fokker F50 aircraft. Flip then moved on to Roneo Alcatel as a Technisch Vertegenwoordiger, where they handled sales and service for cash registers, typewriters, and counting machines. Flip joined AKAM Electronics next as a Sales & Marketing Manager Benelux, overseeing sales and marketing for point-of-sale, Auto ID, and Narrowcasting products. Finally, they became the Director at AKAM Netherlands BV, where they currently serve. Their experience includes working on notable projects for clients such as Blokker, HEMA, and Maxeda.

Flip van de Klift has a diverse education history. Flip obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, General from the Open Universiteit, where they studied from 1988 to 1993. Prior to this, from 1987 to 1989, they attended IBW and earned a NIMA B degree in Marketing. Before that, from 1985 to 1987, they also attended IBW and studied NIMA A in Marketing. Their earliest educational program was at IBW from 1983 to 1985, where they completed a Sales Executive program focusing on General Sales, Merchandising, and Related Marketing Operations.

With more than 3 decades of experience with the Point of Sale (POS) scene, AKAM is certainly not wet behind the ears. Once the ‘challenger’ within this immense competitive market and now a trustworthy and successful organisation. The idea was simple, we wanted to change the market with genuine personal involvement, innovative solutions and extensive professional knowledge. Through this way of thinking we have been able to establish a network of partners with manufacturers, resellers and the end users. This ‘challenger’ mentality is to this day still our motivation. That is why we decided, after years of intensive collaboration with Firich Enterprice Corporation (FEC), that it was time to take the next step as a 'challenger'​. In 2017, this resulted in the acquisition of AKAM by FEC, a very successful listed POS manufacturer, which has specialized in the development and production of distinctive POS solutions since the last century. This acquisition has made it possible to guarantee continuity, availability and new developments in the coming years. The acquisition also offers a shorter channel with the manufacturer and the means to facilitate the market faster and better. In recent years, we have been able to expand our range considerably. POS terminals divided into 4 categories; The All-In-One POS terminals; the Panel Pos terminals; The Box POS terminals and of course the Mobile POS terminals. Associated POS peripherals such as ticket printers, label printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers and custom displays. However, our range goes beyond POS with our specialization for monitors in different sizes and Auto-ID solutions. The AKAM team offers a dedicated internal and external service and sales department, a central warehouse and its own technical department. This way we can offer our partners support to its finest details. From technical questions and installations to solving technical problems and more.
