Shannon Wenzel has been working in the software engineering field since 2000. Shannon started their career at IBM as a Staff Software Engineer, where they worked for 13 years. In 2013, they joined Akana, Inc as a Staff Software Engineer and has held that position for the past 7 years.

Shannon Wenzel attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
