Amanda Gell is an accomplished Registered Manager in social care with extensive experience in managing care homes and nursing settings. Currently serving at Akari Care since June 2021 and Silverfield Care Management since January 2014, Amanda has demonstrated a strong ability to improve underperforming care homes, achieving good and outstanding ratings from the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Prior to this, Amanda had a lengthy career at the NHS from May 1988 to January 2014, specializing in surgical transplant and oncology nursing, and taking on the role of ward manager to foster professional development and advance clinical skills. Amanda holds a BSc (Hons) in Community Specialist Practitioner from the University of Leeds, completed in 2010.
