John O'Donnell is an experienced leader in the software and nonprofit sectors, currently serving as CEO of Akari Software since March 2019, where the focus lies in enhancing curriculum management for universities globally. Previously, John held roles as Managing Director and Global COO at Akari Software, and led Everyday Hero, a Blackbaud Company, to empower fundraising initiatives from October 2011 to February 2017. With extensive experience at Blackbaud Pacific as Managing Director and involvement as a board member for the Fundraising Institute of Australia, John’s career spans over three decades, beginning in software development at J P Kenny. John O'Donnell holds a Master's degree in Ocean Engineering from UCL and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from University College Cork.
