Choon Ping Tan

Choon Ping Tan is a professional in the field of biochemistry and microbiology, currently engaged in Preclinical Development at Akari Therapeutics, Plc since April 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Scientist and Senior Research Scientist at MiNA Therapeutics from January 2018 to September 2023, and as Research Scientist II at Kymab Ltd from January 2016 to January 2018. Choon Ping Tan also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UCL from April 2010 to January 2016 and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Oxford from October 2007 to February 2010. Earlier academic pursuits included a PhD studentship and fellowship at Cancer Research UK from July 2002 to October 2007, following the attainment of a PhD in Biochemistry from UCL in November 2006 and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from The University of Edinburgh in September 2002.
