Eric Vermeulen

Eric Vermeulen is a seasoned tax lawyer and partner at AKD N.V., where Eric has served since January 2016 following a merger with Luminous Tax Matters N.V., where Eric was also a tax lawyer and partner from 2011 to 2015. In addition to his legal practice, Eric has been an educator in business valuation and tax at both Nyenrode Business Universiteit and RSM Erasmus University since 2018 and 2002, respectively. Eric contributes to the field as a board member of the DCFA Dutch Corporate Finance Association from 2019 to 2025. Prior to his current roles, Eric held the position of global tax partner and shareholder at Mazars Tax Advisers from 2001 to 2010, with a career in tax advisory beginning in 1988. Eric holds a Master's degree in Tax Law and Tax Economics from Tilburg University and a Bachelor's degree in Tax from HEAO Arnhem.
