Hugo Doornhof

Hugo Doornhof is a partner and advocate specializing in administrative law, environmental law, and public law at AKD since April 2013, with a particular interest in municipal law. Additionally, Hugo serves as a member of the Eerste Kamer in the CDA faction and has been involved with the VNG as a lecturer on spatial planning law since 2011, focusing on regulatory developments and collaborative governance among local authorities. Hugo has contributed to the Kennisbank Bestuursrecht and educates on government contracts, emphasizing the interactions between public and private sectors. Hugo has also lectured at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Amsterdam School of Real Estate and participated in various advisory and editorial roles within Dutch legal frameworks. Hugo holds degrees in civil law and legal administrative science from Leiden University and a Mini-MBA from INSEAD.
