Kevin Dykstra

Kevin Dykstra has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on clinical pharmacology and modeling. Kevin is currently the Vice President of Clinical Pharmacology, Modeling, and Simulation at Akebia Therapeutics. Prior to that, they held the role of Treasurer and Member of the Executive Committee at the International Society of Pharmacometrics. From 2019 to 2021, they served as the Vice President of Consulting Services at Simulations Plus, Inc. Kevin also worked as the President at qPharmetra from 2010 to 2019 and held various leadership positions at Pharsight Corporation from 2000 to 2010. Additionally, they have experience as an Associate Director of Clinical Pharmacology at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and as a Biostatistician at Genetics Institute. Throughout their career, Kevin has demonstrated expertise in strategic pharmacometric services, PK/PD modeling, clinical trial simulation, and decision analysis strategies.

Kevin Dykstra completed their Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Chemical Engineering and German, respectively, from the University of Colorado Boulder between the years 1978 and 1983. Kevin then pursued further education at the University of Michigan College of Engineering, where they obtained their PhD and Master of Science in Biochemical and Biomedical Engineering from 1984 to 1989.
