Margie Zak

Margie Zak has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare organizations. Margie held various positions at Sanofi, including Senior Director of the Diabetes RML Team and Director of the Outcome Liaison Team. Their responsibilities included developing strategies, leading teams, and providing fair-balanced clinical and health outcomes information to large organized customers. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Professor and Infectious Disease Clinical Pharmacist at the University of Pittsburgh / UPMC. Margie also worked as an Independent Consultant and held leadership roles at Eisai US and Akebia Therapeutics, where they focused on market access and leading medical science liaison teams. Overall, Margie has a strong background in developing and implementing medical strategies, leading teams, and providing clinical expertise in the pharmaceutical industry.

Margie Zak completed their Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree at the University of Pittsburgh from 1982 to 1987. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy at Wayne State University, attending from 1993 to 1995. Margie furthered their education by completing a specialized pharmacy residency in Infectious Disease / Critical Care at Henry Ford Hospital from 1995 to 1996.
