Sarah Garber

Sarah Garber has a diverse work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. Sarah currently holds the position of Director, Medical Affairs at Akebia Therapeutics since August 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as an Associate Director, Medical Communications Lead from May 2012 to August 2019. Sarah also served as a Community Pharmacy Liaison at GSK from February 2011 to May 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Pharmacy Manager at Target from 2007 to March 2011, and as a Pharmacy Intern at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2003 to 2007.

Sarah Garber attended Gustavus Adolphus College from 1998 to 2002, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology. Following this, they enrolled at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for the years 2003 to 2007, specializing in Pharmacy. Sarah successfully completed their education with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the latter institution.
