Omar El Demerdash is a Drilling & Wells engineer at Aker BP ASA since March 2022. Prior to this, Omar worked as an Operations Engineer at National Oilwell Varco, focusing on Wired Drill Pipe technology. Omar also completed a Master Thesis at Enhanced Drilling, analyzing Wired Drill Pipe data in collaboration with Lundin Norway and NOV. In addition, Omar has experience as a Summer Intern at Lundin Norway and completed a Bachelor Thesis on Metal Oxide Nano-particles for enhanced oil recovery at NORCE Norwegian Research Centre. Omar holds a Master's degree in Petroleumteknikk and a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Stavanger.
