Vinh Vuong Tran has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Vinh Vuong started their career at Komplett Group as a Pick Up Point Assistant, where they worked from 2010 to 2014. Vinh Vuong then worked as a Summer Intern at Total in 2014, focusing on R&D and conducting sensitivity analysis on an artificial fractured reservoir model.

In 2013, Vinh Vuong Tran worked as a Research Assistant at Universitetet i Stavanger, conducting research on low salinity waterflooding for increased oil recovery. Vinh Vuong also worked as a Drilling and Wells Engineer at THREE60 ENERGY from 2018 to 2021, assisting in technical proposals and budgeting for projects related to lower completions and well integrity.

From 2015 to 2018, Vinh Vuong Tran worked at Schlumberger as a Senior Field Engineer, providing wireline logging services in production and reservoir evaluation for clients across Europe. Vinh Vuong then joined Aker BP ASA as a Well Intervention & Integrity Engineer, planning and leading operations on the Ivar Aasen project. Vinh Vuong later served as a Value Stream Manager, driving E2E Digital Transformation and optimization of the Well Intervention domain. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Intervention Engineer and Alliance Project Lead at Aker BP ASA.

Throughout their career, Vinh Vuong Tran has demonstrated expertise in well intervention, reservoir evaluation, production enhancement, and research. Vinh Vuong has extensive experience with various intervention tools and techniques, including slickline, e-line, tractor, and CT conveyance.

Vinh Vuong Tran completed their Bachelor's of Science (BSc) degree in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Stavanger in 2013. Vinh Vuong then pursued a Master's of Science (MSc) degree in Reservoir Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), which they completed in 2015. In the same year, Vinh Vuong Tran also obtained a Master's of Science (MSc) degree in Industrial Economics from the University of Stavanger. Furthermore, in 2012, they briefly attended The University of Western Australia, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Petroleum Engineering.
