Virginie Patacz

Virginie Patacz is a highly experienced geoscientist with a focus on carbon capture and storage (CCS) and a strong background in geoscience. Currently serving as CCS Advanced Geologist at Aker BP ASA since October 2023, Virginie previously held the position of Head of G&G - CCS and Senior Geoscientist - CCS at Horisont Energi from July 2022 to September 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Geoscience Advisor and Geoscience Advisor at Vår Energi, as well as senior positions at Philia, where contributions included leading geological assessments for offshore projects. Virginie's tenure at ExxonMobil encompassed various geoscience roles, including Technical Team Lead for the Ringhorne field, demonstrating expertise in geomodeling, seismic interpretation, and production optimization. Virginie's academic credentials include a Master’s in Petroleum Geosciences from IFP School and MSc in Geologic Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure de Geologie Nancy.
