Holger Dilling

Director of Corporate Development and Business Excellence at Aker Horizons

Holger Dilling has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Holger is currently working as the Director of Corporate Development and Business Excellence at Aker Horizons since August 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Aker Ghana Investment Company from October 2019 to August 2020. Before that, they held the position of Chief Corporate Development Officer at N2 Applied from October 2017 to September 2019.

From 2013 to 2017, Holger worked at VARD, first as the Executive Vice President - Investor Relations & Business Development Asia, and later as the Senior Vice President - Investor Relations. Before joining VARD, they worked as the Vice President of Business Development at Aker Yards / STX Europe from April 2008 to October 2010.

Holger also gained valuable experience at Elkem, where they served as the Vice President of Business Development from August 2006 to March 2008. Prior to that, they worked as the Manager of AN Strategy at Dyno Nobel from September 2004 to July 2006.

Holger began their career as a Senior Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, where they worked from August 1999 to December 2001. Holger also worked as a Practice Area Analyst, Financial Services at the same company from June 1997 to July 1999.

Holger's early professional experience includes working as a Trainee at the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico from July 1995 to October 1995.

Through their various roles, Holger has developed expertise in corporate development, business excellence, operations management, investor relations, business development, and market analysis.

Holger Dilling completed their education in 1997 at The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, where they obtained a degree in Economics. In addition to their formal education, Holger has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2011, they earned an Executive Certificate Program in Strategy and Innovation from MIT Sloan Executive Education. In 2016, they obtained an Autorisasjonsprogram i Styrearbeid from Styreforeningen.no. Most recently, in 2020, Holger completed a certification called Business Strategies for A Better World from Wharton Online.
