Salim Aziz Shaikh

Salim Aziz Shaikh has over 16 years of experience in the IT industry, primarily focusing on DevOps engineering and automation. Salim Aziz has worked for various companies, including Aker Systems, Ministry of Justice, Countrywide Plc, Centrica, Atos Consulting, Metropolitan Police, Environment Agency, Thomas Cook, Financial Conduct Authority, and UWV.

At Aker Systems, Salim worked as a DevOps Engineer starting in 2018.

Prior to that, Salim worked at the Ministry of Justice from 2017 to 2018, where they were responsible for creating infrastructure in UKCloud and Azure, provisioning it using Ansible, supporting multiple projects, configuring Barracuda WAF and VPNs, and troubleshooting networking issues. Salim Aziz also successfully migrated the Rota project from UKCloud to Azure using Ansible and Terraform.

Salim then briefly worked at Countrywide Plc in 2017 as a DevOps Engineer.

From 2015 to 2017, Salim worked at Centrica as a DevOps and Automation Lead Consultant. Their responsibilities included designing and implementing continuous deployment pipelines, improving application integration methods, and migrating services to AWS under the CI Programme.

In 2014, Salim worked at Atos Consulting as a DevOps Engineer, supporting development teams and managing the source code management application.

Salim Aziz also worked as a DevOps Engineer at Metropolitan Police in 2014, defining and executing the release process and managing the source code repository.

From 2012 to 2014, Salim worked at Environment Agency as a DevOps Engineer, managing the build, change, release, deployment, and testing process and migrating projects from Weblogic 8.1 to 11g.

Salim worked as a Lead Consultant and Java Developer at Thomas Cook from 2011 to 2012.

Salim Aziz began their career at the Financial Conduct Authority in 2007, where they worked as a DevOps/Release Engineer, responsible for defining and executing the release process and managing the source code repository. Salim Aziz continued in a similar role from 2008 to 2011.

Salim's early experience includes working as a Java Developer at UWV from 2004 to 2007, where they were responsible for requirements analysis, technical architecture, software design, and development.

Throughout their career, Salim has demonstrated expertise in various areas, including infrastructure creation, automation, migration, release management, and software development.

Salim Aziz Shaikh attended Amravati University from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained an Engineer's Degree in Computer Engineering.
