Josh Urbaniak has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2004. From 2004 to 2013, they were a Service Operations Navigator at Pitney Bowes. In this role, they worked closely with field techs and technical support staff to troubleshoot problems and create service tickets on customer's equipment and software. Josh also successfully communicated with all levels of internal and external customers and vendors to provide status updates on open tickets. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Full Stack Web Developer at SkillTRAN LLC, where they maintained an Apache server running on CentOS Linux and designed and implemented a web application for 20,000 users in a large government agency. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Full Stack Developer at Washington State University, where they created web applications for day-to-day operations at a new and growing medical school and high-profile special events. Finally, since 2019, they have been a Software Engineer at Akerna Corp., where they have developed core features and fixed bugs in an agile environment, and led an initiative to create tools to fix erroneous data caused by bugs and user error.
Josh Urbaniak received their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Eastern Washington University in 2012, having started their studies in 2004.
