Mark Burch

Mark Burch has extensive work experience in the field of biostatistics. Mark currently holds the position of Director Biostatistics at Akero Therapeutics. Prior to this, they worked at Apellis Pharmaceuticals as an Associate Director of Biostatistics/Global Medical Affairs and as a Principal Biostatistician. In these roles, they supported statistical analysis and interpretation of data for various programs and studies. Before joining Apellis Pharmaceuticals, Mark worked at Medpace as a Senior Biostatistician and Biostatistician, where they led the design and analysis of biomedical research studies. Mark also conducted methodological research in stochastic processes and disease dynamics during their time as a Graduate Research Associate at The Ohio State University.

Mark Burch received their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Economics from Saint Louis University in 2011. Mark then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Statistics from The Ohio State University in 2013. Mark Burch furthered their education at The Ohio State University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biostatistics in 2016.
