Eric Sawinski

Eric Sawinski, PE, 3rd AE, currently serves as a Military Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve since May 2019, focusing on the Engineering Duty Officer Qualification Program (EDOQP). With extensive experience at AKF Group as the Director of Plumbing/Fire Protection and Senior Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer since July 2013, responsibilities include project management, training junior staff, code consulting, and engineering innovation. Prior positions include Mechanical Engineer at Jaros Baum & Bolles, where duties encompassed writing specifications and designing plumbing and fire protection systems, and Engineering roles at Gibbs & Cox, Inc., focusing on maritime engineering development. Eric holds a Master of Science in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College.
