Sikelela Nkosi

Sikelela Nkosi is a professional Medical Technologist with extensive experience in medical microbiology and tuberculosis, currently employed at Akili Labs since February 2023. Previous positions include roles at PathCare, where Sikelela worked from May 2021 to January 2023, and at the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) from January 2019 to April 2021, both focusing on tuberculosis. Sikelela also gained valuable experience as a Medical Technologist in microbiology at Ampath Trust from January 2017 to December 2018, and as an intern in medical technology at the National Health Laboratory Service in 2016. Sikelela holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Biomedical Sciences from Tshwane University of Technology, completed between 2018 and 2019, and a degree from the University of Johannesburg, obtained from 2012 to 2015.
