Marie Schacht

Marie Schacht is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and education. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Aileron since April 2023, Marie also holds the positions of Chief Executive Officer, Chief Learning Officer, and Provost at Akimbo, where tenure began in December 2018. Additionally, Marie teaches as an Instructor in the NCSU College of Design First Year Experience at North Carolina State University since August 2022. Prior roles include Head Coach and Coach at Seth Godin's altMBA from February 2016 to December 2018, Director of the Hopscotch Design Festival and Writer at New Kind, and a Fellow at DesignCorps. Marie's career began at the University of Virginia Foundation, where responsibilities included Program Manager and Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for Morven Programs. Marie earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia and completed further education through altMBA and The Story Skills Workshop.
