Laura Whalen

Laura Whalen has worked in various roles since 2010. From 2010-2011, they were a Coordinator at FirstPic, Inc. and a PR Consultant at Lewis Pulse. In 2012, they began working at Lightbend, Inc. as a Customer and Partner Programs Manager, where they managed public relations, webinar hosting, event management, analyst programs, blogging, and managing and growing Twitter accounts. In 2016, they began working at Tutor Corps as a Tutor, where they work with students in the San Francisco Bay Area to provide additional academic support in and outside of the classroom. Her primary areas of focus are English Language Arts, Spanish, ESL, and essay writing. Her goals as an educator are to help young people build confidence, foster creativity, and develop a deep love of learning.

Laura Whalen graduated from The George Washington University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
