Prior to this, Jurg was a member of the Advisory Board at Bayer CropScience Vegetable Seeds.
Before joining Aknostic, Jurg was the CEO of 9apps has your back! AWS Cloud Engineering, where they played a crucial role in providing cloud engineering solutions. Jurg also held the position of Head of Product at SDIA - Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Alliance e.V., where they contributed to creating sustainable digital infrastructure and driving collaboration across industries.
In 2014, Jurg founded 30MHz and served as the Chief Founding Officer, leading the development of a data platform for the agricultural sector. Jurg later became the CEO and Founder of the company, where they focused on improving the production process of crops and seeds through data analysis.
Jurg also has experience in the technology sector, having served as the CTO and later CEO of 9apps has your back! AWS Cloud Engineering. Jurg has participated in the Android Developer Challenge as a contestant, showcasing their skills in building mobile apps on the Android platform.
Earlier in their career, Jurg worked as the Development Director at FreedomLab Future Studies, where they focused on creative technology and building interdisciplinary teams. Jurg also founded and directed 2Yellows, a company dedicated to improving collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
Jurg's work experience also includes their role as the Teamlead of Internet Technology at Sanoma Uitgevers, where they contributed to the transformation of the company from an offline publisher to a multi-media publisher.

Jurg van Vliet pursued their education in Computer Science from 1993 to 1998 at the University of Amsterdam, where they obtained a degree.
