Joar Tjelmeland

Joar Tjelmeland is an experienced professional in the offshore and drilling industry, currently serving as Vessel Manager at AKOFS Offshore since June 2022. Prior to this role, Joar held multiple positions at COSL Drilling Europe AS from January 2011 to October 2022, including Rig Manager for SSDR COSLInnovator, as well as roles as Maintenance Supervisor and Assistant Rig Manager. Joar's earlier career included positions as Project Engineer for newbuildings and Superintendent Electro at Solvang ASA from June 2005 to January 2011, and as a Rig Electrician at both Prosafe from May 2002 to May 2005 and Transocean from 1998 to 2002.
