Sergio A. Fernandez De Cordova

President, Co-Founder at Akoin

Sergio A. Fernandez De Cordova is the President and Co-Founder of Akoin. Sergio has also served on the board of advisors and as a contributor for chainx from June 2017 to June 2019. Prior to that, they were a member of the board of directors for Rutger’s University and P3 Smart City Partners. Sergio has also served as the Director for Availor Philanthropy from March 2011 to July 2016.

In 2009, they founded Entrepreneur Week, which ran until December 2011. During that time, they also served as the Global Entrepreneurs Council for the United Nations. In November 2011, they joined the US Small Business Administration’s Board of Members for Underserved Communities. Sergio served in that role until August 2015.

From 2012 to 2015, Fernandez De Cordova was the Co-Chairman for Next Generation Energy Leaders at the World Energy Forum. Sergio also served on Dell’s Board of Advisors as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence from January 2012 to April 2015.

Sergio A. Fernandez De Cordova holds a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
