Holger Schuett

Holger Schuett has extensive work experience in the fields of simulation, emulation, and logistics. Holger currently serves as the CEO and simulation/emulation expert at akquinet port consulting GmbH, a position they have held since November 2018. Prior to that, they worked as the General Manager and simulation/emulation expert at the same company from October 2010 to November 2018. Before joining akquinet port consulting GmbH, Holger was a Professor at the University of Applied Science Bremerhaven from August 2010 to March 2022. Holger also held the role of Head of maritime Simulation at the Institue of Shipping Economics and Logistics from July 2003 to March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Simulation and Optimisation at LOGAS from April 1994 to June 2003, and as an IT project manager at HHLA from March 1990 to March 1994.

Holger Schuett earned a diploma in applied mathematics from the University of Hamburg between 1979 and 1985. Holger then went on to obtain a PhD in Automation Engineering from Hamburg University of Technology, graduating in 1990.
